Sunday snippets

It's been a while since I wrote a 'Sunday Snippets' post so here we are with a few excerpts from my life over the last week or so... 

Visiting one of my favourite coastal places and these wonderful pastel beach huts

A sweet little commission I've been working on.  This papercut was personalised with their names and wedding date and then mounted onto the front of their wedding guest book.  It was stuck down using double sided tape, a sheet of acetate was placed on top to protect it when it was being passed round the wedding guests to sign and a border of fabric washi tape was added.  I think I held my breath the whole time I was doing it but was so pleased with the way it turned out.   

A little purchase of fabrics from Fabric Rehab for a few little projects I have in mind... 

Beautiful ranunculus from lovely friends that came to dinner last weekend 

It's been such a perfect week weather-wise up until today.  Today is a day for snuggling up with hot chocolate and a good book!  What Sundays were invented for!

Endless white emulsion to cover bare plaster walls!

Simple pleasures... 

...and finishing off the weekend with Mr Magorium's wonder emporium on ITV2!  Love that film!

Sunday snippets

Happy Sunday everyone!  So here are some snippets from the last week or so

These beauties were my first daffodils of the year.... I'm now on my third bunch and can't get enough of their sunny faces.

The best Valentines' gifts come in the form of Stationery :o)

Spending a half-term day crafting with my Niece and Nephew - we cut, we stuck, we drew, we coloured, we glittered, we made friendship bracelets, we had lots of fun! 

I love the way my Nephew draws birds... adorable! 

I spotted this sweet little set up on walk with my dog!  

Finishing off the week with a delicious slice of coffee and walnut cake and a peppermint tea!

Sunday snippets

Really?  Sunday again already?  One minute, I'm arguing with the alarm clock that it can't possibly be Monday morning again already and then here we are on Sunday night at the start of another week to come!  Madness, I tell you!  Ah well, it's been a lovely seven days and here are some snippets....

The little project my Dad was working on for me is now finished.  Aren't they beautiful?  I'm so pleased with how they turned out!

Sunday snippets

Hi all,
I hope you've had a good week?  Mine has been pretty busy but here's a little insight into my world this week...

I can't get enough of this time of year.  Crisp autumn days and the most perfect colours...

 

My first attempt at machine sewing some cushions.  They're not perfect by any means but I'm pretty chuffed!

 

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....!

 And speaking of Christmas, I'm preparing some little felt decorations for sewing together later this week... with only six weeks to Christmas now, I'm in full on festive crafting mode!
